convenient, if a bit dark

Years at this apartment: 1995 - 1996
 
you can't beat the location (proximity to downtown and the freeway).
My 2 BR apartment had all exterior windows facing south and east, so it was pretty bright and cheery in there, but some of the 1 BR apartments seemed very dark, since their living room windows opened onto the covered exterior stairway.
There was no air-conditioning when I lived there, which got uncomfortable sometimes.
Kitchen was very small and very '70's, but all the appliances worked fine.
No elevators.
