McKenna Estates

I have been a resident at this apartment complex for almost 2 1/2 years, and I have watched it evolve from a place that used to strive to satisfy its residents into one that has increasingly proven to be only interested in cold, hard profits. The only saving grace has been the new management's acknowledgment that the first manager was terrible, and her subsequent replacement with a nice, caring manager. I watched Ellen take personal time out to ensure that all of the residents were as comfortable as she could make them. This was one woman who really cared about people and her job. Now the management company has fired her. They sent out a note claiming that she is moving on, but I personally believe that they got rid of her, probably because she wasn't turning them enough profit in some way.
This management company has done so many things that are incorrigible. They have unilaterally adjusted rental contracts, and they just hope that the tenants won't know their legal rights and challenge them. I have friends who are tenants who have been sent collections letters with threats of eviction for fines that they didn't even owe. These people could care less about anyone who lives here. Don't move here even if you need a large apartment. It's not worth it!
