We just moved here recently, and we selected McKenna Estates because of the on-site manager, Ellen. We were new to Eugene and had nothing else to go on, but she was warm, friendly, reassuring and made the transition much easier. She was obviously very eager to make improvements to the complex, which we saw her make good on right away. The landscaping, general cleanliness and noise level have all improved on her watch. She was always available to answer questions, make sure maintenance calls were handled, and just be neighborly. We also needed her help one night when a neighbor had the bass up a bit high. She immediately found the source and corrected the problem, and was friendly enough in doing so that even the offender was not upset.
Sadly, we've just learned that the property owners have decided to terminate Ellen without any known reason. And right before Christmas, to boot. She's a lovely woman, and we knew we could count on her. I am beyond disappointed that any corporation would exercise such unethical and unwise practices, particularly at this time of year. She is very good at what she does, so I am confident that she will find something better. However, I will have to seriously consider whether or not to renew my lease when the time comes.

I could not agree more with this response. Ellen was fantastic. She did what she said she would do. She was responsive and caring in how she handled her business and the business of the investors in McKenna. But since the change of the guard has happened, many things are going down hill. B---y is not that personable and things are in serious decline even just over the last two weeks. hopefully things will improve, they can't get much worse.
