I wouldn't recommend McKenna. Compared to other apartment complexes surrounding McKenna, it's not a good bargain.

There is no question this place is not a good value. Though the apartments are large, they are loud, poorly maintained, and very dark. The walls here are paper thin. Not only can I hear my neighbors, I can make out words during normal volume conversations and the floors creak so badly that even my cat's footsteps causes noises. This problem is worsened by the new managers refusal to enforce quiet hours. (noise complaints can't be filed without a police reports according to the latest interpretation of the noise policy.) In 18 months I have had to have three major repairs. Only one of them was addressed within six months. The grounds can't be described any other way than ugly and made even more so by lack of attention. For example, the stop sign and street sign in front of the complex fell down over a month and a half ago and have not been touched. I'm pretty sure management doesn't even know. Also, about have of the lights around the parking lot don't work. That might have contributed to the recent rash of vehicle and apartment break-ins (the management has still not informed residents about). The parking lot is always full because the parking policy is simply not enforced. Any given night at least 1 in 3 vehicles are not authorized to be there. In fact, three cars have made either the red zone or a handicap spot their permanent parking place. In addition to all this, McKenna offers no amenities. I would strongly encourage anybody looking for a place to steer clear of here. The bad reviews are warranted and justified.
