Terrible manager

The manager we had when I first moved in was wonderful. She was sweet and did a great job of keeping the complex a nice place to live--especially with noise management. The new manager is a bean-counter, which is why they hired her, but completely incompetent at running the apartments. She is lazy and unresponsive to all concerns I have voiced to her (noise, safety, parking), and she has been extremely rude on multiple occasions to several friends of mine. She does not respond to phone messages, notes, or knocks on her door. Also, many people had to move out of the complex when they changed the rules about having dogs (which is an illegal amendment to the lease), but this manager has two--who contribute to the noise problems in our building. She does nothing to solve the noise or safety problems, and ignores all of my complaints. We love the apartment, but I can't stand this manager. If she crosses me again I will break my lease and move out.

Wow Bunny. Nice of you to respond. But you are pretty rude to people, myself included, and when you took over you were heard to say, 'now I can be as mean as I want to'. Which from my experience and seems like this other person's experience seems to be your M.O. And, I'm guessing that you know who these people are, and after how the company deals with the staff and how you deal with people, staying anonymous is the only way to keep a roof over our heads while still being able to have the ability to speak our minds. It seems that when I moved to McKenna this website showed McKenna with a 85 rating. And in the last year and a halt it's falling to just over 50. Seems like it's not just a few people that are feeling the new changes and are not happy with the tactics from you and the rental company.

Anonymous: Thank you! Just because the manager doesn't *hear* the noise, doesn't mean it isn't there. (If a tree falls in the forest and Bunny isn't there to hear it...?)

"The manager is lazy and unresponsive.." I couldn't agree more! This whole review is right on. "That's why they hired her." I would like to talk more about who "they" are: The apartment complex is old enough to where the return on investment should be a holy cash cow. Yet, the owners have the staff at McKenna running these apartments like the Gestapo of WW2. They are intrusive, rude and have an extremely self-serving and policing attitude, always in relations to hoarding YOUR money! They don't realize that their tenants are paying THEM to live there, not the other way around.

This review is exact. She also managed to give me a copy of a lease I never signed. She walks her dogs, which no one else can have here. She also goes to work dressed completely unprofessionally. Oh yeah, and she is a hypnotist? http://www.highdeserthypnosis.com/ Come on, where did they find this lady?
