I just moved out of mckenna and reluctantly so. I have graduated so I have to move back home and out of state to start my new life. My experience there was fabulous. The staff do their jobs well and are humorous friendly and helpful. I've never had a bad experience here out of the 2 years I was there. I would recommend mckenna to any student or non student. It's a nice community and the apartments are all a good size. (I've seen them all)

I dont know where you have been over the last 2 years, but over the same period of time, I have only seen things get worse with landlord changes, thefts, and poor management from parking to cleanliness. The apartments are big and the manager is friendly, but they dont do a good job and aren't very responsive (pretty much like every landlord in Eugene). It is expensive, but for it you get nice living spaces. Just expect noise, theft, and possible vandalization of your property. If you are okay with that possibility, you will like it here. If you cant afford to pay the deductible on your renter's insurance, than don't.

You must not have a sense of smell or hearing. All the feces laying around the grounds is as distasteful as the noise policy (or lack thereof). It's loud and the management is unresponsive. If you have been in all the apartments and didn't work for the company... isn't that an invasion of privacy? Did the management let you in occupied apartments? Sounds like the kind of illegal thing that this management would do...

Yeah. The management here has been pretty bad. I remember when the grounds used to actually look pretty good, and the management actually cared somewhat about the conditions. I have watched this place go progressively downhill, and they can't even seem to keep an employee. Who knows if they get fired or quit, but either way it makes them look bad. I don't recognize any of the employees around here because they seem to change every 3 months. Maybe they just don't want to pay unemployment or give benefits. All I know is the the new fees suck. They reduce the deposits, but now they are going to charge us fees for trash? Just a new way to scam us out of money.

@ the employee turnover issue. Zach, the maintnence man who started working here in 2008 was fired () and actually was training his replacement (the older guy who drives the red truck)before he was fired for not driving back from salem to change a light bulb. THAT was proper managements poor call. As for the weekend managers, the one who was here when I moved in actually graduated law school and is moving so his replacement was recently hired and they actually looked for applicants within the complex. I am not saying everything is sunshine and lollipops but this place isn't as bad as some say. That given I am ready to move but I am graduating too.
