Do not live here whatever you do! It was horrible, we lived there for 5 months and moved just because we hated it so much! The management is horrible! The manager harrassed us all the time for no appearent reason, we got yelled at for having my brother who had helped us move, swim with us in the pool, because supposedly its "tenants only" to swim in the pool or play on the tennis or basketball courts, although we constantly saw groups of 7 or 8 people go to the pool or play basketball Also, if your planning on living there by yourself don't plan on swimming in the pool because one of the many pool rules is no swimming by yourself, yet you cant have anyone else swim with you''. In the apartment we lived in, it was like living in a dungeon because there was absolutely NO natural light, and I imagine thats how most of the apartments are because of the woods of high trees in the middle of the complex, blocking out the sunlight. When we moved in we asked if there was an ant problem, and was told no, which is a complete lie! Horrible ant problem! Horrible Parking, never any parking, grounds keepers always recklessly got our balcony wet and dirty, got our dining room chairs wet. It sounded like a elephant was walking around upstairs everytime the upstairs neighbor moved! The list goes on and on! Too expensive for ALL the trouble run for your life! Also, horrible plumbing, but dont try to un-plug the toilet because the manager will freak out on you!

I'm with you on this. I'm looking to move out within the next 30 days. The manager broke into my apartment at 2 in the morning to ask me if I was using a vacuum cleaner because the neurotic people below me said I was. He didn't call or announce himself as management.(My roomate and I are both 20yr old females that combined barely weigh 200lbs!) Then, he began harassing me on a regular basis. He starts childish arguments with me. I honestly cannot believe this guy. Oh, and my car has been broken into on multiple occasions. I can't wait to be outta here. I'm taking legal action against both Prospect Park and the creepy manager guy. If your rental agreement or tenant rights were violated in any way, let me know. I've done sone research and some horrible things have happened at this complex. If I knew all of this before I would've never bothered to move here.

I wish I had seen this review before I moved in. They just raised the rent,an outlandish price for the age of the buildings, and the noise. They use little gasoline quads for the maintenance crew to run up and down the hills, they are very noisy and smell like gasoline, which comes into any open window.Plus the crew uses the quads at night to pick up their kids from the pool, they race in with screaming kids, honking, and slamming the garage doors at late hours. And the managers uses the garage to work on his car on weekends, so no rest for the wicked to sleep in on saturday-metal grinders, vacuums going off and on all the time. not to mention the leaf blowers!

To the first anonymous post on 12/30/07, Im sorry to hear about your problems with the manager. We had continuous problems with him also. When my toilet got plugged, i tried plunging it myself and the water went down. Then i left for a few hours and when i came home around 9pm, the toilet was overflowing. So i called the office and the on-call manager didn't know what to do so he called the main manager, Matt. They both came to my apartment and Matt looked to be very drunk. He immediately started yelling at me for my house being "dirty", however I had just moved in and there was only boxes stacked up in my dining area. Then, he asked when the toilet got plugged and I told him it first happened the day before but I had plunged it myself and the water went down and then rose again when I was gone. He freaked out on me, literally SCREAMING in my face for not calling him the minute that it got plugged. Any apartement manager would tell a tenant to try to plunge it by themselves before calling them. After he yelled at me for that, he used MY brand new white towels that were in the bathroom to soak up the most disgusting brown toilet water I've ever seen, which obviously ruined them. He insisted on inspecting my apartment for cleanliness and started to open a bedroom door that my wife was sick in bed in. I told him my sick wife was in there and he tried opening the door anyway, but luckily it was locked. Then he lectured me about how I dont respect the property and he would be back every week to do an inspection and that i was going to have to replace all the carpets b/c they were supposedly dirty. Keep in mind I had JUST moved in a week before. Luckily, he never came back, however after living there a few more months, we moved out. Then I got a bill in the mail saying they were keeping my 300$ deposit AND i owe them $900 on top of that for new carpets, floor-boards, and cleaning. That was the cleanest I had ever left an apartment and I've always got my full deposits back at every apartment I've ever lived in (which is about 7). So i researched the laws and wrote him a letter saying it was illegal to tell me I have to replace carpets before they're even messed up, that he charged me an unfair rate for supposed cleaning, and that I was not billed in good faith. I never heard anything from him ever again, however I still did not get my deposit back. I'm hoping he didn't send me to collections. It seems like I would have heard by now. Our neighbor there told us the manager had illegally entered at least 5 different single womens apartements, unannounced. One of them was in the shower and he actually went in the bathroom! Also, he lets people move in, and then intimidates people to move out and keeps their deposits. That's exactly what happend to me. I wrote the review at the top of the page. Please tell everyone to NEVER move in here. It will cause nothing but problems. Matt is not the owner of the place and it was nearly impossible to find the address of the real owners. However, I did it. Send all your complaints/concerns to: Western Heritage 20285 NW Amberwood DR Hillsboro, OR 97124

I have to respond to the above comments. I moved in and lived here for 2-1/2 yrs, then moved to a 3 bedroom apartment here and lived for another year. I then purchased a condo and moved out. When I sold the condo I moved back in, then moved out of Eugene for 3 yrs and am now back again. I have never had any problems with the managers Matt or Margie, or their staff. They have been very good to me, come quickly to repair anything. I had a plugged up sink on Christmas Eve and Matt came right away and fixed it. I am a single woman and even when I gave them permission to come in they would not unless I was there. After I got to know them they would come in to do repairs and leave a form that gave the time they were in and what was done. The folks that work for them, also, have been nothing but courteous and helpful. I have never seen Matt drunk or smelled of alcohol...however, who doesn't have a drink or two once in awhile. Matt has never raised his voice to me and never harrassed me. I just don't understand what the problem is with the above comments.
