I have lived in the Redwood Park Apartments for almost 2 years now, starting in September of 2003. It was managed by BMC and they raised the rent on us a few times, eventually they switched to another management, and just recently they switched again. The office managers for BMC and the currents ones were very courtious and receptive to our complaints and needs. If we've had issues that required maintainence, we never had a problem getting the on-site maintainence guy to come over.
The grounds are really nice and they are improving some of the older paint on the curbs, etc. There are 2 kinds of parking spaces, reserved (which is only reserved for residents, not indivual rooms) and visitors. We never have a problem parking like I've seen at other apartments. So what if we don't get to park in front of our door, the short walk is good for you anyways.
The complex seems very safe, day or night. They are also pretty quite; however, since they are older apartments the walls are sort of thin, since the middle apartments rooms are right next to each other, you can sometimes hear your neighbors or their muffled music.
The recreation room is really nice and makes the whole experience that much better. Even though they have a hot tub, an outdoor pool would be nice for the summer.
I'm looking forward to the continued improvements (interior and exterior) that the new management has planned for our aparments and I would recommend these apartments to anyone in the market, as long as one or two bedrooms is enough.
