My husband and I lived in these apartments for one year.

Upon leaving, we cleaned and scrubbed the place clean.

During our walk through with an employee, she told us repeatedly how great it looked, and what "good shape" we had kept the place in.

She made her notes and we expressed our concern over the carpet, which had gotten dirty.

We said that we would have been happy to steam clean it, but she assured us that she was going to mark it down as "heavy traffic", and went into this whole big long story about how she was a new employee and her boss had just told her that they "were a company that didn't make money of renters' deposit money, they made it from keeping happy renters in their buildings".

She again assured us that the apartment looked great and we would be receiving most of our deposit back.

Surprise, surprise, 4 weeks later in the mail we received a statement saying we OWED the company $136.00.

Not only we were charged over $170 for carpet cleaning (which we could have easily done ourselves for free), we were charged an additional $300 something dollars for carpet replacement.

I will not be recommending this apartment complex to anyone I know, and would not trust Willamette Property Management Group with any other rental either.

Yea this place is a rip off. you will end up oweing no matter what condition the place is in. They will tell you eveything looks good and then send you a bill in the mail. Manager is a poor excuse for one.

This happened to us too- we made them do a walk through and they pointed some things out to us which we adjusted. They took $50.00 out of our deposit to clean the blinds - which we cleaned and they told us were okay. They took money off for a spot missed on the shelf above the washer and dryer which lets face it unless you're 6'8 you can't see anyway. Again- they could have mentioned it on the walk-through.
