Rents are escalating way too fast in these units. Was told my rent was going up by over 22%(!!) when my lease renews. NO KIDDING! The walls are paper thin. I hear much of what my neighbor does. I know what time they go to bed. I know when they scold their kids. I know when they flush a commode. The apartments are not well-insulated is what I'm saying. The floor plans are good and efficient. The location is ok if you work out in Gresham or at/near the airport or if you are a flyer. Oh, by the way, the apartments are in the PDX flight path (arrrgggghhh!). The paint is peeling on the exterior of the buildings. Makes you wonder about deferred maintenance etc. I filed a maintenance request several days ago and haven't been contacted about getting the items corrected/fixed.

The neighbors seem to be like me: hard-working, quiet (as quiet as they can be in a poorly insulated building), considerate, more mature. There is secure parking for some apartments; others have assigned outdoor, unsecured parking. There is a W/D in my unit but it's one of those small tub W/D's wherein you have to wash clothes litterally every day or at least every other day in order to keep up with the laundry. The dryers use more energy because the tumbler is so small the clothes can't get hot air in between to dry the clothes. CHEAP! There's also an annoying exhaust fan that is on a timer, which you have NO control of as far as turning the damned thing off. You can change the times it actuates but can't turn it off. Waste of energy in winter. Bring your own air conditioner because even though these units are only about 8 yrs old, there is no central A/C. Rent is currently $850/month. Going up to $1050/month soon!!!!!!!!!!! Argggh! :( mgFDbN4-dhkSMZ7zRmVH

A note on your fan - ask the office manager if there is a way to turn it off. Usually these fans are on a round timer, and if you pull the round piece out, the fan won't come on anymore. I had the same problem at my last apartment, but after the manager told me how to do it, it was really easy to turn off.
