I cannot stress enough how awful this complex is. My boyfriend and I signed a six month lease, and less than two weeks after moving in we moved out. This place is awful- you name it, it's a problem. First of all, this is low income housing. We did not know this upon signing a lease, and in fact we were over-qualified to live there. The condition of our apartment upon move-in was unacceptable. We contacted the office, they said this is low income housing so whatever was wrong with the apartment we're just stuck with. Windows that didn't lock, many missing screens, our front door was incredibly loose and didn't lock properly, our dishwasher was broken, the fridge was taped together inside, we had a hallway light we couldn't use because it buzzed and sparked... the list goes on.
During our second and final week there, we received a knock on our door late at night. It was two kindly neighbors trying to find the owner of a white sports car- my boyfriends (very expensive) car. There were three children jumping all over his vehicle, and they wished to notify the owner. Yes- jumping! The car next to his was also being jumped all over and sustained considerable damage, luckily my boyfriends car is okay. The mother of these children merely stood by, watching, talking on the phone. When we tried to talk to her and get the children to stop, she showed a complete disregard for what her children were doing and didn't even speak English. The neighbors who had found us had called the police, and a police report was made. When the office was notified of this incident, they didn't care. They shrugged it off and said it was no concern of theirs. This place has no sense of premises liability and is completely guilty of civil negligence. The parking lots are not lit at all at night, there are couple lamps but the glow they give off could only be described as mood lighting. Seriously- drive by at night before thinking of renting here.
Between this incident and many other problems we decided to break the lease and leave. They granted us zero clemency and for two and a half weeks of living in an absolute nightmare, we had to pay over $2500. $2500 worth of fees, lease buyout charges and rent costs when we were no longer even living on the premises. This place is an absolute slum, the manager Tara nothing but a hired slumlord with no concern for any resident.
This complex is horrendous. We have had nothing but problems since moving and if you are thinking of renting here, think again... RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN! x-2PE3sjUIIeetAHoKOk

I am apalled at what has been written. I am not a hired slumlord actually the contrary. I was very concerned about the incident that occured. I was notified on a Tuesday and am currently investigating the incident. I have asked for specifics of the incident in writing and have not been given that. This incident happened on Monday and it is Thursday, not enough time to allow for a resolution. I have already been incontact with the witnesses identified and the Fairview Police Dept. I have yet to receive any information from the witness either. We are not "low income housing". Our criteria is such that you must make less then the areas median income of 80%. As far as the condition of her apartment we have remedied all issues. We have a 40% turn over in our community. That is very low for the industry standard. Again, I want to clarify the incident happened on Monday and it is only Thursday of the same week. I will resolve the issue to the best of my ability. I also stressed that I was VERY concerned about the incident that happend however, we are bound by a contract.

Unfortunately when we went to talk to Tara the day after the incident we were scoffed at, and I had to go to Tara's boss with Guardian Management to get this issue resolved. After initially trying to resolve this with Tara we stopped dealing with her as she was clearly indifferent to our situation. We were never asked for written information, because we have that from the witnesses and from us and would have been glad to hand it over. This whole situation has been a nightmare but now, less than a week after then incident, we are completely moved out and done with this slum. Once again, save yourself some trouble and do not rent here!
