Years at this apartment:
2005
-
2006
Had a quick (three day) approval. We actually got to see the apartment we would be moving into. A few things were promised at move-in: new window-sills (sun had burned the plastic ones), the blinds in one room fixed and some other things. Those didn't finally get taken care of until we got our new management last fall. New managers are very nice. They are helpful in getting things done although they make sure you know that they work hourly. The company that runs the place (Norris & Stevens) doesn't let them work more than 13 hours a week. It is very breezy here - air through the windows and doors all of the time.
We have an upper unit and the average electric bill is $40. You don't have to worry about paying water, sewer or garbage.
Did "not allow pets", but I was allowed to move in with my caged animals and the lady who lives below us has many animals. I also purchased a cat about half way into my lease and the office did not care as long as I didn't openly flaunt her. (My cat loes to sit in the window) I have not had any problems with my animals.
Parking can at times be a problem. Each apartment is allowed two spaces, one assigned - carport w/ number, the other is any extra space you can find. The problem with that is there are very few spaces in the back end of the complex and if you get off work late people will have their guests parked there. So, you have to park on the street and be very careful about it because if you're to close to a drive way or something, there will be a ticket on your vehicle first thing in the morning. Another problem this presents is people parking in the complex where ever the hell they feel like it. Usually this means blocking the narrow street or boxing in other cars, and you can't do anything about it because the towing company will only help you out if the manager calls them - which doesn't happen in the middle of the night.
The pool is in direct sunlight with some chairs. That's okay. There are many kids around here - so the pool is usually a clogged artery anyway.
There is a "work out room", they don't do much except point at it when giving you a tour. Last time I checked people were using it for storage. The equipment in ancient and the room is not well lit at all - better off going for a jog around the block or something.
It's alright - kinda boring. A family place, except for the back row of aparments - they get the occassional police call. gkZ41df9CgXQPfm8K2A7
