since the MANAGER seems to think this place is fine, go off her ideas... (for the record, before we moved, we did talk to the girls there. it still didnt change for us. sorry if my poor review irked you, but thats what we experienced last year. maybe things have changed.

baby boy? i hope im not THAT overweight that i looked pregnant. hopefully you are thinking of someone besides my friend and i (and you cant be thinking of her because shes skin and bones). and for the record, she and i moved out back in november... we had lived there a year, not a little over 6 months, and we talked to kay all the time about what was wrong. i dont know if we were talking to the wrong person, but i never once talked to you personally, so right, i am sorry if YOU personally could have made the noise from showers and such stop. i highly doubt it. its not so much that YOU personally were responsible for anything, just that this is a site to review an apartment, and really.. it wasnt the place for me. my roommate agreed. when two grown women have to SHARE rent on a place just to make it, i mean, we dont make THAT much money, it just seems like something is wrong there. i know you personally could not help the prices on housing, so its not like its your fault alone, i just dont agree with all the charges we were faced with upon moving out. we paid $425 for carpet cleaning... we had to pay because the oven door wasnt shutting properly, but it never had been.. once again, something that i doubt you personally could have remedied.. regardless of my willingness to post a real review on here and your thoughts that it wasnt necessary, im not even talking about renting a place there right now.. granted its only been a few months since we moved, but maybe things HAVE changed.. i know thats what managers are there for, right? i always liked megan, but kay was just awful when it came to getting on our problems.. like the people next to us BLARING their music. we had to complain 3 nights in a row just to get something done...
once again, i took off what i said, because im willing to let people change... i even said you guys were great with not discriminating against us because we were younger women, mid twenties, with very little rental history, and you guys went out of your way to say that you understood the situation. not everything i said was bad, so id like you to at least take that into account.plus, i said that the maintainance guys were awesome... when we did have problems, only once or twice, they came the day after we put our request in. thats good compared to the place we went to. in fact, as much as i complained, i would have stayed at avalon if i had known what i was getting into. we ended up in downtown portland, and the grass is always greener they say, but not in this case. however i still stand up to what i said in my review. the only reason i replaced it is because i can allow for changes to be made.

OMG!!! I am sooo sorry about that. No I didn't at all think you were pregnant. I thought you were someone that still lived here, only because you made a comment on a letter that you received while you resided at Avalon. I am soo sorry about the misunderstanding. As for all the things you commented on about your stay here I now completely understand why you weren't happy. I just wish I would have known before now so that I could have taken care of the items that could be dealt with. And honestly you are right... I can't fix everything like you hearing the water running upstairs and stuff like that. But normally if the items that can be fixed are dealt with the water running is completely tolerable. Does that make sense?? Well hopefully if you ever decide to move from where you currently are you will look us up again and at least meet the new staff. There have been some slight changes since you left. Have a great weekend and take care! Christy
