TOP 8 REASONS WHY NOT TO LIVE HERE:
1. Guest Parking - decreased by atleast 20% a week after I moved in - no warning or compensation for the inconvience.
2. Personal Parking - Assigned to someone else a week after moving in - I was asked to give up my spot and told I would have a new one the following day, a week went by and I didnt have anywhere to park while the company remapped the parking situation - NO COMPENSATION
3. Neighbors!!! SUCK!!! Loud till 3 am 7 days a week - On all sides and below - Called many times to complain. Never once recieved a call back from management.
4. Secured Access - NOT!!! If it was secure #5 would not have happened. Gate not working 5 out of 7 months of living there.
5. CAR and MAIL BOXES BROKEN into! TWICE!!
6. $300 paid for deposit $150 Non Refundable. Found out during move out that the$150 can only be used for cleaning charges.... if you clean your apartment spotless the apartment still keeps your money then charges you an additional $300 to repaint.
7. Live there less then a year you have to pay $300 to repaint a two bedroom apartment - THEY DONT POINT THIS OUT WHEN YOU SIGN THE LEASE... READ CAREFULLY you pay to repaint any apartment.
8. Came time to resign the lease and instead of being able to sign on at current rate they increased rent $200!!!
This complex does not value their residents. I am usually not a real big complainer, but I have never lived in a place where I felt so unsafe, unappreciated, unvalued and ripped off.
I witnessed a male employee yelling swear words at little kids riding their bikes on the property - stating "get the F*@# off there I work at that complex". Would you want employees talking to your kids that way' Also management does not respond to any voicemails left by residents, either that or their staff deletes the messages. For the money I should have stayed at Russellville Commons. They may have costed slightly more money for the first 6 months, but with the rent increase at Avalon, all of the hastle, problems and lack of consideration it would have been money well spent! Also their $75 moves you in and no deposit deal has NO HIDDEN FEES ATTACHED.
