They are all smiles until you sign the contract

I have lived in this complex for 2 years, and was very happy with the unit and grounds. I didn't mind so much the noisy upstairs neighbors, and tried not to bother management, unless I had to. Then one day my bike was dismantled (right on the bike rack-allow me to remind you-it is a gated community!) The management ingored the issue, not so much as a flier with a warning appeared. Security was not of much help either. A year went by, I decided to leave the same (repaired) bike in a breezeway chained to the bike rack to avoid staining the carpet (hoping that lightning doesn't strike the same spot twice), and low and behold, by morning, I had only had a FRAME hanging on the bike rack!!! The management denied the first occurence and no measures was taken in regards to the second. I never expected any monitary retribution, but I was hoping for signs of some concern on the part of administration. The matter, however, was hushed up. The safety of this complex is just an illusion.
After hours pager was never answered in the last few months of my residing there (I locked out once, called security, was referred to after hours pager, never got a response. As a result I had to sleep on my freids couch until my husband overnighted his keys to me.)
New management starting with its head completely lacks common courtecy and professionalism
The entire experience there leads me to believe that they are all honey, until one signs the lease, then you become unimportant...
