Don't move here, the latte's aren't worth it. I regret signing the full year lease and wish I'd moved accross the street instead and payed half as much to live in the same locale.

At Columbia Trails, the pool and jaccuzzi during summer months are not only overcrowded and filthy, but ooze disgusting scuzzy foam. I don't think it gets cleaned at all. The security gates don't lock and most of the time they're broken and stay wide open anyways. The apartments seem like they're spider infested. When I requested any maintenance, it took a whole week for them to get around to it. When the snide maintenance guy finally showed up, he had to return to finish the job because the work order was all wrong. The office staff are stupid and rude and never smile. I never feel welcomed at the club house to take advantage of the amenities I pay the excessive month rent for. The multimedia room has a couple of old mismatched computer components that don't really function very well and the printer has been broken for months. Expect to receive nasty notes on your door from the bookeeper about being evicted, even if you pay your rent. Expect that they'll misplace your rent check and credit someone elses account for it and send you eviction notices.

The latest fiasco that I've encountered here has been with the parking. I've complained three times, on three consecutive days about the vehicle next to me parking way too close to mine. On some days, I have to enter into my passenger-side door just to get in my car. Some days, the sensitive alarm gets set-off when my car door accidentally touches his car. It's not that the stalls are too narrow, just that this neighboring vehicle is parked extraordinarily crooked. The office indirectly sent out reminders to everyone on his floor, hoping to get the message accross. Since then, I've notice white marks on my car, like this person is vengefully scratching my car. I've reported these incidents to the office and offered to submit pictures I've taken, but their resolution to the matter has been to move ME to a different stall, like I'm the one causing the problem here. They said that so long as he's in his white lines, he can park however he wants. I guess setting his alarm off every morning trying to get into my car is acceptable too then. I will be filing a police report if my car is further damaged.

Obviously the office staff doesn't know how to manage complaints and will make you out to be the problem if you complain. Every one of these horrible reviews is legit. Don't be deceived by the flashiness and location of this complex. There is nothing luxury about it and I can't wait for my lease to be up.

On a lighter note, the manager Mary is always smiling and very kind to me when I see her.

I concur on all of the items that have been mentioned. DO NOT move here...the office staff do not know what they are doing and the district management office is also non-responsive when you try to get things resolved beyond the local management.
