When we moved in, I paid a $70 dollar application fee; a $200 dollar security fee, that's refundable; plus, a $200 dollar cleaning fee that's non refundable. When I moved out, I spent the entire weekend cleaning the apartment, so I could get back my refundable $200.00 security fee. As they promised; however, I was charged $300.00 dollars for painting, $125.00 dollars for cleaning the carpet, $70.00 dollars to clean the windows. as they pointed out in the lease agreement. I was really shocked because, the final walk though, they stated "little cleaning needed". I was led to think, I would get back my deposit. Now, I am told I owe them more money and to avoid collections, I need to pay the balance within 10 days. Also, your $200 dollar cleaning fee does not apply to these cleaning charges per management. If you disagee, they'll ask if you would like their lawyers name and number'

What you are saying happened to us exactly. In addition we faught the charges and had agreed with the management on a lower amount... they sent us to collections anyway. Mike Tierney This complex should be reported but I don't know who to contact.

It's really sad to take money from those who really don't have it and need it the most. It's a wake up call for all young people, that this world isn't always fair even when you always try to do right.
