BROKEN INTO ONCE, 2 OTHER ATTEMPTS MADE

My apartment was broken into the very first month I moved in. Since it was Easter morning, they made me wait hours before coming to fix my door. Someone had taken a crowbar and pried the door open. The door frame was cracked, and my dead bolt (screws and all) were laying on the tile when I woke up. The door was wide open. They had the nerve to tell me that it was THEIR Easter holiday, and that it would take awhile to get it fixed. Filed a police report, but never heard anything again.
I begged to move apartments, but they refused. I begged to break my lease, they refused. They only have to provide a 'safe' door.
Now, I woke up this morning to my door loose, the door frame cracked, with wood chipped off the frame. Also, the inside part of the deadbolt is bent (SEE PICTURES). Again. Also, the connecting part of the deadbolt is now loose and sticking out farther than normal. It should be flush with the door. I have already changed my locks once before, when I noticed that the door had been tampered with. All maintenance did was screw on another metal plate for the deadbolt, and add a second one for 'added' protection. However, he said someone could kick the door down easily. Makes me feel safe.
DON'T BE FOOLED BY ELECTRONIC SECURITY GATES. The apartment said that they could take them down at any time, and they would not have to notify/protect/replace it. The gate serves no purpose, since it stays open for hours at a time. Not to mention, most adults could crawl under it.
Also, I heard gunshots while smoking a cigarette on my balcony. A few months ago there were 5 successive booms. On the news that night, they confirmed someone had been shot across the street at the apartments Columbia Trails owns as well.
This is not a safe place. The tenants are rude and kids are loud at all hours. You never know who may be casing you.

That is pretty disturbing. Where can I see pictures? I'm pretty freaked out because my elderly father lives there :(

I work at a bar so I have a different sleep schedule then many others. I sometimes don't get home until very late at night/ early in the morning. I always keep my eyes open for things that look out of place. I walk so it's not like I don't have time to notice or hear things. I just haven't seen anything wierd.
On another note what kind of sleep aid do you take. If you didn't hear someone pry your front door open with a crowbar and the deadbolt and screws hit the tile floor then you must be on some heavy stuff. Just wondering cuz it's sometimes hard to sleep during the day.
Thanks
