Nobody answers the emergency Pager!

The fire alarm was pulled by an apartment tenant that panicked when they found there home full of smoke. It turned out to be a burnt meal. That is understandable.
What is not understandable , and unacceptable, is the fact that I paged the "emergency maintenance pager" 5 times, and was never called back. This is not the first time that this happened. At one point the Pager service was not even active.
What would happen if a pipe burst' Or a hot water heater in an upper level apartment burst as i have had happen before' The water would leak into the apartments belowand ruin the inhabitants belongings.
The dumpsters are constantly overflowing with garbage, with the enclosures dryrotted to the point that some of the walls are falling down.
There is a very high turn over in the maintenance staff resulting in poor experience and knowledge. a maintenance staff once confided in me that the ownership will not purchase the parts neccesary to keep the property maintained. He told me that once when he ordered parts, the ownership told him to send back approx $30 in parts to save #.
The management is unwilling to handle noise complaints, and when I called to complain , I was told to call security at night , and that they would send them reports.
HERE IS THE KICKER!!! IT IS THE ONLY COMPLEX I HAVE EVER BEEN AT THAT THEY CHARGE YOU FOR A CAR PORT! THATS RIGHT ! YOU DO NOT GET AN ASSIGNED SPOT , YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR IT!
The buildings look nice from the outside, and arent half bad inside. But the management , and their attention to the needs of the residents , needs help.

I was looking for an apartment closer to my husbands employment and the more apartments we looked at the more I was already starting to miss Heatherwood. This place has been great. Apartments always have turnover, however you can't say that the maintenance supervisor is inexperienced. He has been here for the time that I have, over 3 years. He was gone for a while, but he is back now and they don't miss a beat. I have had nothing more that pleasant experiences with the office staff, and Parking...go anywhere it is just as bad. This is an apartment community. Buy a house if you can't handle it, but remember that you wont be able to call a maintenance pager, or even have maintenace or security. We have decided to stay here until we buy a house...it will be well worth the commute.
