where to start'
i moved here with my fiance last summer with a one year lease and it was hell from the start. last winter it snowed outrageously and the apts wouldnt plow the snow which had built into 3 foot drifts from the parking. i couldnt get my car out until i had dug away for a half hour. they didnt plow for about two weeks after the snow had hit.
next, i had a package delivered usps and it was taken by the office whose "rule" was to not accept any packages. while in their care it was stolen. what a mystery. they wouldnt help me for a few weeks and i had to chase the manager around until i got them to pay for the package.
parents got towed on thanksgiving while they were staying at the guest suite. packages were stolen off my doorstep the same day they were dropped off.
the trash areas are filthy and were always overflowing for a few days before being hauled off. couldnt find a recycling area.
And the kids.. ---- the kids. they yell and scream nonstop from ten in the morning to ten at night, no joke. so much for a nice relaxing day any day of the week.
Management had been severely rude and had changed hands multiple times. it seemed to get worse as the year wore on.
last but not least they wont let you leave without trying like hell to cheat you. we moved out in september and paid them in full. they later sent us a letter telling us we were going to be handed over to a collection agency so we went back and brought a print-out of the check that we wrote and they cashed and they tried to claim they hadnt cashed it until i showed them a stamp on the back from their bank that had holly ridge apts right on it. now they have turned us into a debt agency even after all that ----. so we have to waste more time getting clear of these crooks
