I've been a resident for over 2 years and have never been satisfied with management and maintenance. We have so many issues with our apartment that have been brought to the attention of management, but they handle it in one of three ways.
1. They will not fix at all.
2. They will do a non-professional, "quick-fix" job. Basically just a cover-up.
3. They will dismiss the issue as being "normal" for the apartment, such as standing water on the bathroom floor (they will say it's because you live on a lower apartment even though it's actually a leak or the toilet sweats profusely).
The management only cares about the yard maintenance around the clubhouse. The grass is never well maintained (well, it is mowed every month), there is absolutely no drainage around the building for rainwater (thus creating the excessive mold in the walls of the apartment -- WHICH THEY WILL NOT CORRECT BECAUSE "THIS IS OREGON" AND NOT THEIR RESPONSIBILITY).
I wouldn't recommend these apartments even to my worst enemy. They've gone downhill faster than a Semi over a cliff. And the impact it will have on you is just as explosive because it will only piss you off.
There are also several instances of vehicles being stolen right from the carport parking. No security at all!

I got charged for damage to the carport when I was moving out. I was told that they had witnesses, but I clearly was not the driver of the vehicle nor was even outside when it happened. I was not even the renter of the moving truck. My insurance company refuses to pay for an accident that I was not even involved in. The driver of the vehicle was man of another race and I am a white woman. Parkside apartments took my entire security deposit and sent the remainder of an $800 bill minus the deposit to a collection company. It looks like either I pay it or my rental history is screwed or I screw my credit and rental history at the same time and file bankruptcy. It doesnt pay to be a good tenant that always paid the rent on time and left the place cleaner than move in.

Got an update because my lease is up this month. They are charging now for water/sewer and my rent is going up $40 per month. They still won't refix anything that they have a lame excuse for (live on a bottom apartment or "your bulding was one of the first built, so it's different and the draining is not as good as around the other buildings". This is very, very poor management and they don't take accountability for errors or provide professional maintenance.

For real. I had a friend from out of town stay the night and his stereo got stolen the next morning. He ran out to his truck at about 7 am to grab his bag, showered and changed, then when he went back to his truck, not a half hour later, his window was shattered and his stereo gone. Within a half hour in broad DAYLIGHT.

2 yrs ago there was a car theif in the neighbor hood but the police caught him and we havent had a problem since that I'm awre of? I heard the scuttlebutt about the damage to the car port from wittnesses ! HMMM? is all those people lying??
