I just don't understand

One thing that I don't understand about the people that are making posts are here is if they are so unhappy why don't they just move' I lived at Royal Greens for almost 3 years and the only reason that I moved is because me and my husband bought a house. I have to say that I miss having someone else to take care of the lawn and the maintenance for me. One thing about living in apartments is that there is no way to make everyone happy. And anyone that thinks they are going to find a place where there is nothing but good things to say is crazy. Most of the people that post on here are bitter residents that moved out and probably got charged for damage and think they should not have to pay or is a resident that didn't get their way and is mad about it. Some people need to understand that these reviews are for facts not just your own opinions of the manager. So you got caught breaking the rules and got in trouble and now you are going to go slander the manager because of it. There is no way a good manager is going to be sitting in the office 24 hours a day and there for you to decide that you want something. A good manager is out helping the maintenance guy, walking the property, getting to know residents and being a part of the community not just sitting there waiting on your beckon call. As long as things are getting taken care of as best as possible then what more do you want. No one can be everyone and know everything that happens. So for the facts.... The golf course views are great (yes it is true that you sometimes get flying golf balls but if you don't want that risk don't live on the gold course), it is an older building (great for the open floor plan and have been updated at least mine was, but can be more squeeky floors etc.), smaller property (but still have full time maintenance and staff, if they are gone leave a message and someone always gets back to you), swimming pool (closed sometimes yes but at least they care enough to close it if something is not right rather than letting my family swim in an unsafe pool). So there you go make your decision based off facts not someones rants because they are mad. I loved my time there and would gladly move back if I moved into an apartment again.

If it was THAT great you would have stayed! Correct a GOOD Manager would be helping, NOT TAKING CONTINUOUS SMOKING BREAKS!...WITH THE MAINTENANCE STAFF!

I lived at Royal Greens for a year in 2006, and I really enjoyed my time there, and I loved the management. The manager was always there and willing to help with anything! She was diligent and was able to accomplish requests in a very timely manner. BUT I moved back into the Royal Greens at the end of 2007 thinking I was going to have as wonderful of an experience there as I had the year previous. The assistant manager that was under the old manager is now THE manager, and I have been less than impressed. She closes the office early AT LEAST once a week, she hangs out at her Grandmohters apartment and posts the "Manager out on property" sign on the office door, it takes her weeks to accomplish a request (besides maintenace because the maintenace guy is on it), and more than once a week the office is closed by 4pm. Sometimes she doesen't even come in and there is no post on the office door about what is going on. And I'm not sure if the managers that work for Guardian Management have to have a dress code, but sometimes the manager at Royal Greens comes in looking like she just rolled out of bed. Thats not exactly what professional looks like. Don't get me wrong, I love the floor plan of the apartments at Royal Greens, I love the view of the golf course, the pool has been open everyday this summer, I have great neighbors, I love the dog friendly environment (and the dog poop problem has gotten a lot better), I like how small the complex is, I like the no smoking rule (I just wish it was enforced a little better), but I really really really could do with better management.

we now have a new manager, but she doesn't even try to make this a safer place to live. if you are an older person or are out walking your dog, you have to be alert or you'll be run over by the speeders. some people drive 20 to 30 mph through the parking lot and zip around corners without looking. the assistant manager tried to work on it and she was reprimanded for it!when i hold up my hand or say slow down, i am ignored, flashed the bird,or had to listen to all the foul language that exists! when we had the deep snow they didn't plow us out because they had to have the manager's permission, but she wasn't here because she lives in washington.

I wish people would get the facts correct. I am the manager at Royal Greens and have been taking care of several problems along with the speeding in the parking lot. It is not in my job discription to let this resident or any other resident know who has received letters or who have not. This would be breaking confidentiality laws, which I will not do. We did in fact have the community plowed and was on a waiting list for almost a week. I called the company every day and every day I was told we should hopefully get done soon. They had 3 crews working 24hrs a day. Did this resident forget to tell you I was in fact in the office and that this was the week of Christmas. Ruth if you would like the name of the company that came to plow, please come to the office and I will give you their name and I am sure they will tell you when we went on the list to be done. The office was closed on Christmas and I thought the office was cover for the day after, I guess I need to speak to my staff. I have been here every day that I have been scheduled. I am sorry but my job is not 24 hours a day or 7 days a week.
Thank you,
Diane L. Pierce
