Management vs Renters

Apparently as in most places this can be a fake. What I am saying is... some people dislike places because of some bad situations. It's all fair. And yes, it is true that management is posting at times also, it's obvious. The only way you are going to know just how good or bad a place is to live there. Do yourself a favor and take the shortest lease possible to test the water. Also take a tour of the site. All you need is to revisit a place a few times at different times during the day to get a rough idea.

Another thing is to consider that when you rent an apartment, expect the worst, because well, it's an apartment. Unfortunately our Government allows rental agency??s to raise rent as they feel fit and do not regulate them. I say shame on them.

Also remember that the rental places always like to refer to "Market Rate" which is another way of saying "We want to rip you off" Anyone paying anything close to "Market rate" is getting ripped off. I laugh when any rental place explains they are giving me a deal. HEY RENTERS - THE AVERAGE OREGON (HILLSBORO) APARTMENT IS NOT WORTH OVER 650.00 on average. (Assuming it is a nice 1-2 bedroom) This is not a big city; it's a "wannabe" city. Just because people have ok jobs does not warrant an increase in rent. When was the last time a rental place lowered the price a few bucks' They don't and you know why' ??Because, it??s all a bunch of baloney to get more money from renters over time.

Anyhow, just look at what you are getting. The obvious is right in front of you. Don't rent longer than you have too. This keeps the rent on an increase because of demand. And even although moving is a pain in the butt, don't let it stop you if management raises rent. The only way to keep rent at bay is to make them want to keep you or get more tenants. After all, if you starve them they will have to run a special to get tenants. (You would think)

Apartments are always geared to lure in new tenants and then after they get you they s-l-o-w-l-y raise rent hoping you don??t complain or notice as much. But, hell yea we do! Sadly, this is why renting will always be annoying. No management team will ever look good as long as this trend continues. Granted, after all, the only thing any complex is interested in doing is making money. It is a business and guess what, that??s what they do.

For those that never bother to look at figures on paper; it roughly costs about $660 per month for every $100,000 borrowed. And with all the new loans and rates out there you can get $0 down or even interest only loans (good if you plan on selling in a few years) Don??t rent forever. It??s better to own a bungalow than rent in my opinion.

In conclusion: NEVER Rent longer than you have too. NEVER believe what you read on the internet. ALWAYS try something for yourself at the least amount of risk.

Best of luck to everyone. It??s a tough world out there, but it??s a fast life so enjoy it.
