Jealousy of a great manager

I am a property assistant manager that lives here at Cortland Village. I work close by and do not want to live where I work. I have met the "new manager", and thought that I would comment to the last review. She is very nice, and seems very pleasant, and when I went in to pick up a package last week she actually smiled and introduced herself. I do not know her and have recently entered this business since applying and moving into Cortland Village. I think that the last review is obviously a personal attack made by someone that is very jealous. I sincerely doubt that the company that oversees Cortland Village is going to place someone in management that "bullies" people around, or that "spreads rumors about tenants"...This site is visited quite frequently by other property management companies and managers that intentionally try to damage the reputation of others to increase occupancy as they know that prospects will read these postings.. Just keep this in mind as you read.

I read the response that you posted as assisant manager I agree with the original posting I live at cortland and have lived at one of her properties in the past "god help us all"

I am the assistant manager that posted the last response and actually went in today and asked the manager if she had read this posting, and introduced myself. The only property that she use to manage with the company stated was a way older place which was FEE MANAGED and those in this business know that managers can only do what the FEE MANAGED COMPANY ALLOWS... As a resident that lives at this property but works in this industry, I have asked around, and she has a GREAT reputation, so much so that I went in and let her know who I was and where I worked. I had never let the old staff know anything, as they were never customer service oriented. If you really lived at Cortland why would you post anonymous nasty comments about her as she is now the manager, the company is not going to fire someone over your comment as obviously she has earned her position. If you are living at Cortland that is pretty stupid as she will see your name and recognize you as one of her previous residents and know that you posted these hateful things. Just because someone has to manage a not so new property does not mean that they are a horrible manager... I still dont believe that you live at Cortland...I think that this new management team is exactly what this place needed, and maybe one day I will get the opportunity to work here or with this company.

I've lived here 4 years and made it my business to meet the new manager. I found her to be very nice, much more "customer friendly" than the former manager. I only hope the new maintenance team are as responsive. I'm glad Chris is still here, will miss Michael. I tend to agree that the very negative comments were perhaps not from an actual tenant, but from a competitor. I don't think anyone so negative would be in a manager position. From a business standpoint it would make no sense.
