One of the better places in the area

We spent a lot of time looking for apartments in the area, and picked Creekside because it appeared to have the least questionable looking tenants and was relatively well reviewed. To start with, the apartment itself was nice enough. The rooms were large, and I loved having a washer and drying (although our washed was possessed by some sort of demon). I also really enjoyed being able to paint! The construction was decent for the area: it wasn't fantastic, but it probably as good as it gets compared to similar units nearby. Our first set of upstairs neighbors we barely heard at all. Our second set we heard all the time, but that was moreso because they were jerks. I don't think I ever heard our next-door neighbor. We were right next to the road, and we did hear the traffic, but it wasn't terrible.

When we first moved in, I was really impressed with the landscaping because it made our apartment so private. However, there was a winter storm where some trees blew down, and then they cut all the other plants back. It left a muddy, ugly mess, and we could now been seen by our neighbors across the way. Also, we were near the pool, and it made the pool noise that much worse. (There were some people who, at least in the summer of 07, let the pool babysit their kids all day, every day. Sometimes the parents weren't even there, but even when they were, their kids screamed and ran around the pool from morning until night. Something to consider about units close to the pool.)

For the most part I really liked the office staff. Kathy and Tia were very good. We didn't care for Diane, who seemed to think that because we were young, we were hoodlums or something and did not take us seriously. This was an issue when we were having problems with our second set of upstairs neighbors. Diane, being the only one there on Saturday, was less than helpful. (Despite the fact that they were even younger than us, they couldn't possibly be bad neighbors because the guy's mommy came to talk to her.) Kathy and Tia were very helpful, though unfortunately only there during business hours. Moving in with Kathy was very good. She went through everything with us and was always very kind. Maintenance was very good too, and the few problems we had were fixed quickly.

Parking was good near our unit. We rented a covered spot for a while, which was especially nice during the winter time. However, I can see where other units in the complex might have more of an issue with parking near their unit. I never felt unsafe at Creekside.

The nearby walking trails are a definite plus, and the complex is well situated to shopping (Trader Joe's, Winco, and Costco!). Also easy access to max and highway 26.

We had a very good moving out experience with Creekside. We received the entire refundable portion of both our regular and pet deposit back. Overall I would recommend Creekside.
