Hampshire Downs Apartments

Pretty nice From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 9/14/2007 Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2007   I've lived in apartments for 10 years from college apartments to luxury apts. This place seems pretty nice, especially for the price. The neighbors are friendly and kind of keep to themselves. I live on the ground floor and other than a little bit of walking around overhead I've never had any problem with noise. The area is pretty and peaceful, but I'm bored out of my mind and ready to move to some place with a little more going on. Since I'm looking for another place right now I figured I'd help out by posting a review of my current complex. The office staff seems pretty nice and we've had a few maintenance requests that were handled just fine. I will say that you will have a completely different experience in the office if you happen to speak with the lady with the curly black hair. She seems to be a little resentful of the tenants and kind of has a chip on her shoulder. She is a real stickler about the rules, sometimes to the point of missing the point. It's kind of strange. Honestly I don't have a problem paying a little more money if I mess up but I don't like all of the negativity I have to walk away with. I've never had a real conflict but I've watched her deal with several people that came in with what should have been very minor issues. The other two women I've worked with have been really nice and helpful. So, not to be too mean to this poor lady who's just trying to do her job, but perhaps you shouldn't be TOO scared off by the rude behavior described in these posts. I actually will come back another time if I have a big favor to ask and she's working. Seems silly, but may as well avoid conflict. One nice thing - when it came time to sign the lease again they didn't jack up the rent $150 like some of the other apartments over in the orenco/tanasbourne area do. I really appreciate that... nothing like moving in with an introductory deal that's really low and then feeling trapped some place with ridiculous rates.
