My girlfriend and I have lived here for about 3 years. For the first two years everything was fine. The maintenance staff is great; however, management is not. They have lowered their resident qualification criteria consideribly. This property seems to cater more to the "white trash" population now.

In the past year, we've had 2 cars get hit while parked in the parking lot. Other tennants have had cars broken into and items stolen.

Complaints go unaddressed. Management refuses to address complaints, but has no problem raising your rent.

I am stumped at this review. I have lived at this complex for two years and LOVE it here. Wonder how this reviewer can hold apartment management responsible for people driving their cars into parked vehicles. Any complaints that I have had get addressed immediately and I even get follow up phone calls to make sure the problem is resolved. The maintenance staff is tops. The grounds are kept beautifully. Maybe this renter just needs to find another place to live - try shopping around -- we are very lucky here.

I have to disagree with the person who posted the picture of the can on the ground. Does a can in a parking lot really show that a place is trashy? I don't think so. It would be impossible for any place to pick up every single piece of trash every minute of the day- especially one this big! My experience has been great here. No problems with neighbors, great maintenance, and management has always been available for me. The staff has always been super nice and professional. My boyfriend applied a year after I moved in and they still had the same qualification criteria. This renter just didn't know what they were talking about. Hampshire Downs is really a great apartment complex, especially for the price! By the way, that renter should really remove that photo from the this site. That is really tacky and tasteless!

UGH! People are rediculous! Why not pick up the trash yourself obvilously you were standing right there, if everyone did that the maintenance staff might have more time to do other things that were more important. Rental Criteria is never changed due to fair housing! If there is a change it is due to a change in law...ever property has a person like this..ignorant and just has to complain! Another thing about complaints....how do you know if they have addressed them or not? Do you sit in the office? DO you follow up with managment? If it continues do you continue to complain to management? Probably not . . people need to let them know...they can't be everwhere at once and it is a BIG property! P.S. Crime happens everywhere!!! Not the fault of the management.
