I was excited about moving to Jackson School. Everything I heard and saw before I actually stepped foot on the property made me happy: great prices, good amenities, and it was close to where my husband would work. But once I got there, I was taken aback! The clubhouse and exteriors were absolutely beautiful, but we were quite suprised to see the inside of the actual apartment we would live in. The carpet was thin, dingy and an ugly grey. The kitchen counters were cracked and the living room was so small we would never have been able to fit our funiture in it. (We looked at a 2 bed, 1 bath) The storage door was broken so that it wouldn't close and the patio door wouldn't lock. The walls looked like they hadn't been painted since the prior tenant had lived there and the outlet and heat coverings were an ugly yellow in contrast to the stark white walls. The front door had a big gash across it as well. I almost cried when I realized that my husband and I were close to moving there sight unseen. I'm just glad we didn't get roped into a long lease!

We blew it by renting sight unseen based on what we had been told by others about the place. If we had seen it before the day we moved in we would never have rented. |
