I moved into Landmark after I read some good reviews on this site. Unfortunately, I was greatly dissappointed.

A drug addict living ON THE PREMISES recently mugged someone in front of their house. The complex did not even bother to inform the residents that the criminal was living in the complex. I got this information from the cops.

Everything seems fine until you need some service or have a problem. Also, their rent increases are enormous in the order $150 per month.

Also, the apartments are very old and they look it too. For the same price you can get much newer and nicer apartments with better appliances in the same area. I thought rock creek was a much better deal.

I live at Landmark and have had a much different experience. I was told by the police that the mugger didn't even live there, but that a family member of his lived there. And anyways, after the cops got the guy, I saw his family moving out like a week later. So I'm guessing that the office probably kicked them out (which in my opinion shows that they care). I do agree that the place is older and looks outdated. I had a steep increase to, but I still pay less here than I would at other places, plus i dont have to pay movers, new fees and depsoits. Just goes to show everyone has different experience. Overall, the place is pretty old, but is clean and hsa lots of parking.

I also live at Landmark, and think this person is an idiot! I am very familiar with the above situation, and the guy arrested did not live here, but was visiting, and yes the family was asked to move (they lived in my building). Besides that, every person I've met during my stay has been very nice and normal. The office and maintenance go out of their way to be friendly and accomodating. I have never had a problem arise that wasn't solved immediately.
As far as rent increases go, that's the way of life, deal with it. If you haven't noticed, other apartment communities and house prices have gone up considerably in the last year, it's just a part of a growing market.
