Since the management changed last year, the experience at Landmark has been very bitter. The manager happens to be very rude and any complaint registered is an immediate No. few key attractions which made people to sign up for landmark have been nullified. The racquet ball court is unavailable most of the time. With absolutely no policy enforced, users sign up for peak period for months together very much unlike one day in advance with a well maintained timetable previously. When summer started, racquet ball court was being used to store office items closing the court for months. However at the same time the all fees have been hiked up and the benefits have been drastically reduced. To name a few - The late monthly rent payment now incurrs $75 penalty,(earlier $50). The referral fee which was $200 has been brought down to $150, without any prior information. Sublease is absolutely not allowed with new management. Earlier it was one of the most important attraction as the management themselves used to help find subleases. Of all what pains is the arrogant and rude behavior of the manager, though rest of the staff is friendly.

On a scale of 1 is to 10 when compared to what landmark apartment was 1 year ago, i would probably give it 2 or less.

There are a few changes I wasn't thrilled with either when I renewed my lease. The lease break fee is much more now - don't have details here, but it is way more than just one months rent like it used to be. Like the first post mentions, the late rent fee is higher and rent is due sooner as well. The one positive in the management change which for me is huge is that now if the carpet needs replacing they will adjust the charge based on the age of the carpet - the old company would charge as if a new carpet had been trashed regardless of age. Since I'm looking at this potentially, it may save me hundreds and it's fair.

There have also been increased charges for all sorts of little things. $20 more for water here, $15 more for sewer there. Today I got a notice saying that they have been forgetting to charge me $7.50/ month for trash. Really? Combined I now pay almost $60/month for water/sewer and trash where it was less than $20 when we moved in 18 months ago.
