I am miserable after living here for only 2 months! I wish I wold have looked into it more but we moved here from Tennessee and had to find something fast.
As you may have read, the package situation is awful.
I had one of the brilliant employees tell me that the package I received a notice for in my mailbox was one of the ones I had picked up the previous day.
I said, "So you're saying the mailman brings packages to the office and then waits an entire day to put a notice in the box' Her response' "Mmmm-hmm." Okay then, whatever.
And then there was the air conditioning issue.
Coming from Tennessee where central air is a sacrament, I was of course appalled to see I was paying for a "luxury apartment" with no AC.
You have to buy your own ghetto window units! We bought 2 and called the office to see if they could install.
The girl had a conversation with the maintenance manager and I heard both sides of the conversation.
He said he could, and that they would be there the next day at 4.
The next day at 4:15, I received a call from one of the assistant managers telling me abruptly they wouldn't be coming because they "don't do that." How come no one told me this the day before' Why did the girl ask me if 4 pm was OK if they "didn't do that." She said the girl "just said that and the maintenance manager never told her that." When I informed her I had heard both sides of their conversation and actually heard the manager tell her this (he has a unique accent, it was definitely him), she abruptly ended the conversation.
BUSTED!
They are absolute liars here.
And then there is the absolutely horrific parking.
The ONLY thing we asked was that we be given a unit with a parking space in front of the garage.
For some reason the units are staggered so that some units are too far forward into the parking lot to be able to park a car in front of your garage.
They promised us they would.
So what did they do' They gave us one of the ones with zero room to park.
Which wouldn't suck QUITE as bad if the garages weren't so ridiculously tiny! You can barely fit two cars in lengthwise, and it is so narrow you just about knock your mirrors off every day.
Another lie.
Another time I was told maintenance would come to fix a problem after 11 am.
At 9:45 am I am awoken by my doorbell, and who is there but the maintenance guy! I told him what I was told and he saracastically says, "Well, it IS almost 10." THEN WHY DIDN'T THEY TELL ME THAT IN THE FIRST PLACE!' JUST SAY WHAT YOU MEAN AND DO NOT PLAY THESE STUPID GAMES.
He acts as if he is doing you the world's biggest favor by doing his job.
You can also hear every word the neighbors say.
The walls are incredibly thin and the construction extremely shoddy.
I could go on and on...the staff is rude and defensive (only one girl is nice but she is overruled), the parking is terrible, the maintenance sketchy, etc.
Not to mention that we are all packed in here like sardines.
I swear to God I feel like I am at college again, living in a much bigger dorm.
STAY AWAY! I cannot stress this enough! I will be breaking my lease and eating the month's rent, I can't take it anymore.
We will be renting a house next time.

I've lived here at lionsgate for almost 3 years now - and I am very happy with the service that the staff provides. What people reading these reviews need to understand is that, these are just over exaggerated opinions of pissed off residents! they may be pissed off because they are so demanding and that they did not get what they want... they neeed to think about the fact that the staff may have their hands tied due to fair housing laws.

Your electrical bills should not be that high - I am on their biggest 3 bedroom home and I pay no more than $85/mo... you just need to conserve energy.
Yes parking is a challenge - but what other property guarantees you 2 parking spaces... sometimes 3 depending on the size of your carand the type of garage you have... you get a garage as well as a driveway in front of your garage. And to be illegally parked - your friend must have been out there more than 15 min - and she could have at lease turned her hazards on... its common sense people.
Regarding the late fee - its a penalty for not paying your rent on time. Again commin sense - its also an aknowledged when you signed a lease - so dont get mad when you get a late fee for not paying on time. And correction its a flat rate - read your lease...you dont get charged a $100 per day - if that were the case I would not have signed a lease...
As far as packages are concerned - thats your resposibility. The staff does not need to accept packages for us - its a curtesy they provide for us to make things easier - this way you dont have to wait at home and miss work and wait for a package that may not come till the next day. And if you ordered something put your name on it - that package couls have been the previous residents! Again - think about it people!
Another issue you need to be aware of - rates change all the time. Shoot - I remember renting a 3 bedroom a couple years back at $900... and not all homes are the same... these are townhomes not apartment flats. you should enjoy the fact that no one is above or below you...
So you move out and got all these charges? well, did you clean? probably not! Again - read your lease, understand what you are aknowledging and agreeing to, so that when YOU dont necessarily get what you want or you get penalized for something you did - think about it...
You need to think about what you say before you act - collect facts first - dont just vent just because your pissed off!
