No Verizon FiOS, parking is a nightmare!

If you are looking for an apartment with Verizon FiOS (Verizon's very high speed fiber optic Internet and TV service), forget Lionsgate. From what I have been told, the property owner is not interested in allowing Verizon to install FiOS. Verizon started to roll out FiOS in Washington County in the fall of 2005. I've have been waiting and hoping that Lionsgate would soon be getting FiOS. I work from home and need very high speed Internet access. I'm currently stuck with Verizon 3.0 Mbps DSL. Yes, Comcast is an option but I have issues with Comcast since they filter their Internet traffic.

Parking here is a nightmare! Your friends won't want to visit you if you live here! I urge you to look around the property and observe how few parking spaces there are before you decide to lease. While some of the units have 1 or 2 spaces in front of their garages, some units do not. If the space in front of a garage isn't long enough to accommodate a vehicle, you can't park there. Your vehicle will be towed if you do. I had a friend who parked in front of my garage and his vehicle was towed. It cost him $250 to get his vehicle back. I have seen many vehicles towed on my street.

You will hear just about everything that goes on in your neighbor's apartment. Most newer townhouses are now built with double wall construction. There's no double wall construction here. You'll be able to hear you neighbors talking on the phone, running the water, having sex, etc. I'm truly convinced that they didn't even bother to insulate the walls between the apartments. If you are specially looking for a townhouse, look for one that was built in the last few years. I would highly recommend leasing a townhouse from a private party or in a smaller complex.

The residents were notified on 8/26/08 that Prometheus is now the property management company. It was previously managed by Holland Residential. This is the 3rd property management company in about 4 years. You have to wonder why Lionsgate keeps changing hands.

I have lived here for a few years and I will not be renewing my lease next year. I would not recommend Lionsgate at this point.

First of all, If your " Stuck" With DSL, that is out of your own ignorance!! Comcast only filters users that are illegal downloading copyright material from peer to peer sites and if your doing that, you shouldn't be on the internet! I personally agree with the owners, I don't want verizon coming in and hacking up the roads and everything else over their crappy Fios service! unless your visiting "SUPER FAST WEB SITES' that can serve speeds as fast as you can down load on Fios network, your paying for bells and whistles your not using! As for parking, unless your guests are handicapped or just flat out lazy, their is a HUGE parking lot right across the street that will more than accommodate them. As for management, holland lost the contract because they made bad decisions in tenants, "HINT HINT', and I personally don't want my rent to increase because of degenerates that don't pay their rent and am happy to see a fresh face running the place that actually cares about things that directly matter! And for the noise, ITS A TOWN HOME, Im in the development biz and can tell you, it aint ganna be any better if you rent form a private owner! I think if this is your basis of complaints, you should pony up and buy a home and be responsible for your own problems!!

Ok, so that last post was completely inappropriate and flat out rude. You must be someone that either works for the office or knows someone that does. I feel that the complaints being made were very legit. I have lived at lionsgate for just under 2 years and have spoken with many of the other tenants here. We all agree that the parking is terrible, as well as the pools are filthy and unable to use over half of the time, and that so called "fountain" that is near the large pool is an extreme health hazard. I could go on about more. I think the point that the person making complaints is trying to make is that you should be able to get what you pay for. We renting from lionsgate do not feel that we are getting what we pay for. As far as the internet goes how can you accuse someone of wrong doing over the internet just because they need a fast connection for their home business? Maybe lionsgate should not make promises that they cannot keep. How can you call someone that can't pay their rent a degenerate? How do you know the reasons behind their inability to pay? Some day you may just have struggles as I'm sure that some of the tenants you deal with are or have had. I have always rented from private owners in the past and it is a MUCH better experience. Private owners are way more compassionate and concerned for their tenants needs. I fully regret not taking the private owner route instead of lionsgate. As soon as I can get out of here I am gone and then you can be left to find the next sucker to reel in. I think that you need to pony up and stop watching these rating sites and spend more time learning how to be a more compassionate and caring leasing agent.

Yeah i agree with the last person. I thought the same thing. They must work here. This place flat out sucks. Speaking of lazy... its the staff here. They don't get anything done. This place is not even near worth what they charge. Its filthy, it stinks like dog poop everywhere outside you cant even open your windows. Believe me they shouldnt call it "luxury" townhomes. only a few more months and out of this trash hole.

I lived in Lionsgate 4 years ago. And I can tell you that the person who made this review is right, and it looks like Lionsgate is the same after all this time. lol. Bad parking, paper walls, bad maintenance, bad service... and to think, they even tried to raise my rent after my lease was almost out. lol... I got out of there asap.
