If I could have picked up the Nexus apartments and moved them closer to Portland, I'd still live there. Even though I only lived there for one year, I settled into the area like it was home...it was so easy. The nearby community is full of fun little shops, New Seasons, Starbucks - they even have a farmer's market. The apartments are brand new and everything works. I didn't have a single maintenance request.

I lived in one of the buildings that faced the Max line (building E). There was always ample parking since we could park on the street. Even though I could hear the Max as it passed, the sound was more like white noise. I think I could hear the Max so well because my neighbors were so quiet. I had wonderful neighbors - either that, or the buildings are exceptionally insulated.

As a single professional woman, I felt safe living in the Nexus community. I even felt comfortable walking to the Nexus gym late at night. The cardio equipment works and I never had to wait for a machine. I cancelled my gym membership.

In fact, the one and only complaint I have about my experience at Nexus is that the wonderfully oversized garden tub is just so darned big that you have to boil water to fill the tub if you want a hot bath (the one bedroom water heaters just aren't quite big enough).

Besides that - thumbs up all the way around. The office staff is super friendly and helpful. Like I said before, I would still be there if the Nexus were closer to Portland.
