I just moved to Orenco Gardens and after reading all the comments below I was scared that the management would as bad as described. My experience was entirely different though. I arrived here early o Sunday and Patty welcomed me earlier than the time the office was supposed to open. We went through a lot of bureaucracy and then we went together to my apartment to check for problems.. the apartment seemed perfect and I wouldn't note anything down on this paper where you are supposed to write down defective stuff.. However, Patty kept on noting down things like "scratch in the floor", "mark at the oven" etc etc. When I told her that I wouldn't note down any of these she told me "that's why I am here for. To make sure that you won't pay for anything you did not damage". Then she told me that she thinks the apartment is not clean enough (seriously the apartment seemed fine to me) and she said she ll send the cleaner again on Monday to re-clean it. My first impression of the management was really good. She seemed very helpful, she kept on saying that whatever questions I have she is there for me etc etc. I think that either I was very lucky, or all these people saying bad stuff about management are bullshitting you (or are managers competing apartments -- you never know).
Overall comments about my apartment: All electric devices are here including electric fireplace, dishwasher, washer/dryer, microwave etc etc. The location is amazing; I dont have a car and there are at least 2-3 restaurants in walking distance (I havent explored the area thoroughly yet) plus a big supermarket (new seasons) that has everything one needs. The max is 1 min from my door (I am in birch street so there is no noise at all from max) and I am at work (Intel) in 15 min!! I used to live in Westbury apartments last summer and the difference in quality and area is huge. I really like this appartment.
