Palladia trying to milk us for everything

We lived at Palladia for 3 years and live in a 3bd townhouse. Our lease was up at the end of August and we chose not to resign due to a number of things including chain smokers on both sides of us that somehow the smoke leaks thru the cracks in the stairs causing that nasty smoke to fill our place. Also one of our neighbors smokes pot becuase when the windows are open in my kids room, we get a blast of pot smell coming in. NOT GOOD! I told the office about it and said the only way to take care if it was to catch them smoking and call the cops.
Another thing that bugs us was there is quite a bit of punky kids that now seem to take over the area and park. I can't even go down to park with my kids without these kids yelling the F bomb or N word. Last spring my older son and his freinds phones we stolen right from the basketball courts.
Palladia has some good features, but it mostly consists of the area around such as mall across the street, parks, schools, etc.
We were considering signing a new lease, but only if we could get tranferred to a new unit away from our chain smoking neighbors. THey wanted to charge us an additional $200 fee to transfer and this and that. They made it extremely hard to take care of a current resident.
So we found a house for rent and I strongly suggest you do the same becuase there are a lot of homes out there for rent that are a LOT nicer and CHEAPER. We gave our 30 day notice and we now have a couple of days to go before we move, the manager sent us a "quote" of what we owe which is about $450. WHAT'''
THey claim we never gave 29 day notice not 30 and charged us another $60. Water and sewer I can handle but they listed a bunch of other stuff which they said "IS NOT NEGOTIABLE". Whatever.
One more note, if you plan to move out, DEMAND to get a walk thru done BEFORE you move. The Maintenance guys can tell you exactly what you need to fix before you move out to get your full deposit back. Palladia staff doesn't want you to do that because they want to send you a bill or deduct from your deposit on the repairs that they claim to make after the fact.
Just be careful :)

You can not deny someone a place to live if they qualify based on your opinion of the people. It is called Equal Housing for a reason. If you went to buy a house that you qualified for and then the realtor says sorry I don't like the way you look. It is the same thing.

I disagree, I'm home all the time and I have no idea what you're talking about. I also live very close to the mail stop and the leasing center so it's pretty high traffic yet I have no issues.
