The bad reviews here are really picky.

The people who reviewed here must be used to living at the Ritz. For two years I lived in a crappy little college apartment with NO amenities whatsoever, and then I moved into Rock Creek Landing after I graduated. It isn't the absolute nicest apartment you can get in the Portland-Beaverton-Hillsoboro Area, but hey, I can't afford $850 a month.
My boyfriend and I got a nice lease deal on this place which allowed us to amoritize (spread) a month and a half's rent discount over a 10 month period, so we're paying $585 utilities.
On move-in, they waived the decorator's fee (which included a custom -painted wall and chair molding in the dining nook), and recently they installed a brand-new faucet and closet organizers because we extended our lease.
There are all of the appropriate amenities in our apartment: two walk-in closets, a linen closet, washer-dryer, dishwasher, and a wood-burning fireplace. The carpets, linoleum, and countertops are in new, if not rarely-used, condition.
It's noisy at times because the people above us have brats that like to scream and jump off furniture, but that's not the apartment's fault. Obviously, the people that reviewed this apt. as "too noisy" haven't lived in a 30-year-old building with crappy insulation and shoddy construction. When you can hear *normal* conversations through the ceiling and walls--let alone everything else--THAT'S too noisy. This apt. complex isn't anything out of the ordinary in that regard.
Overall I'd say this place is pretty good, and I'm satisfied with it. Not spectacular, but well worth the price.
