Nice place to live

Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2006
I rented a one bedroom first-floor apartment at RCL for a year and a half. Aside from some annoying upstairs neighbors who enjoyed having loud sex with the windows open followed by angry screaming matches, it was very quiet. Once they moved out, I had no complaints about noise.
The unit was in good condition and I never had to call maintenance, although I did have two minor problems that I fixed myself: the duct piping hot air from the dryer into the exhaust pipe in the wall tended to slip off, but this was easily remedied with a staple gun; also, the rubber drain hose for the dish washer somehow got disconnected and drained onto the kitchen floor, but this was just a matter of mopping up the mess and reconnecting the hose.
I didn't bother paying for an assigned parking spot because parking was never a problem (although this varies greatly depending on your location in the complex).
Crime also wasn't a problem, and even though I had a first floor apartment, I felt safe leaving the windows open while I was away during the summer.
My only real complaint is that the grounds near my apartment smelled like dog poop. This isn't the management's fault; there are plenty of signs telling dog owners to clean up after their animals, but dog-owners suck. bYr9ljUwtCbMRXE8dRDC
