I lived at Tanasbourne Terrace Apartments for two years (I moved out last weekend). Maintenance was a hassle (Two-three calls to the office will finally get the job done) with putty for a cracked door jamb (3 ft crack from floor to lock hole), repeated calls for tack strips poking through the carpet (those sharp parts holding the carpet). I started at $585/mo on the first lease (1 year) and then $667/mo on the second lease. The third lease would have been $704/mo. For 10 days past the lease I was charged $564 and I still have to get charged for cleaning (they don't inspect after you leave, they just charge a flat cleaning fee). There are at least a couple of shopping carts near the garbage cans at any given time. My particular area had a lot of smokers and lots of cigarette butts left in the way. You'll have to sweep the front entrance and stairs yourself. Parking is very difficult after 7 or 8pm. Lawns can get very soggy whether from rain (watch for big puddles near the gazebos) or over watering by the sprinkler system. My 2nd floor apartment floor would creak (I weigh 225 lbs) regardless of how softly I walked. Jerks street race on Stucki road and Evergreen parkway gets lots of traffic. With bedrooms along these roads, you'll find lots of noise, especially if you open the sliding glass doors. The windows and doors are aluminum and poorly sealed in some apartments. Trees are everywhere and it definitely makes the place better. If you rent without lease it's $882/mo. Water, Sewer, and Garbage runs $38-40/mo and power can be from $40-95/mo. Cingular had poor signal strength in that area. Per management, if you have problems (like noise, etc) you'll need to call the police because they don't live in the complex. This place started out fairly well, but after multiple neighbors that brought police officers for Domestic Violence, fighting, pot smoking, and noise violations it was just disgusting. The place is getting a really trashy look to it. You will also get heavily charged when you leave (don't bother fighting them since the owner is a $16 Billion dollar company). The traffic during rush hour and weekends (because of retail stores nearby) is horrible and will take 10-30 minutes to get onto Highway 26.
I strongly advise people to stay away from this property.
