After moving in, I started to see things that did not work for me.
negatives:
- poorly insulated; high electric bill
- can sometime hear neighbors through the walls
- floors creak
- appears to be built on the cheap
- inner garage door (fire door) is spring loaded; thoughtless neighbors let theirs slam
- there is a number of vacancies
- "previous" manager Lezlie was customer service oriented
positives:
* a good work out room
* built in garage
Attached picture shows what I had to do to keep the 2nd level warm in addition to placing a sleeping bag at the door because the unit is POORLY insulated and built on the cheap.
I got a disingenuous, unprofessional, and dated renewal notice on my door after 1pm on New Years Eve dated October 31st. It informed me of my lease renewal options:
Come to the office on "November 14th" to be eligible for a drawing for a free months rent.
1. rent increase of $20 if I signed a new 10 or 11 month lease
2. go month to month w/ a $155 increase
3. or give my 30 day notice to vacate
I asked the "new" manager Melanie Tomco twice if the $155 month to month increase was correct. She informed me that it was. I refuse to give into this extortion. They need to examine how they handle their renewal procedures, process, and treatment of the tenant. It is like they don't care or out of touch. Value turn-over verse occupancy. You would think a complex w/ 260 units and a 7% vacancy rate they, Riverstone Residential Management, would do what it takes to keep a tenant.
Say or do anything to get you into the complex, but once they have you, it is a whole other story.
I moved out.

Just relocated here! It's sad to see a lot of good people go this this BS. I have a house, but out of state and now have to rent... This is unfortunate! Hard to find a good place without worry of the area and place, and not being treated as a valued tennant! If my carrer was still there, I would be to... in my own home. I have read more negative feedback in most places than I have positive. It's frightning to say the least. This was very helpful.
