After looking at almost every apartment/townhome complex in the Tanasbourne area of Hillsboro, I decided on this one for numerous reasons. The grounds are beautiful as are the buildings and units, management is very friendly, and the location is ideal. I'm in a one bedroom, which I love, though I do plan on upgrading to a 2 bedroom (the living/dining area is a little crampted in the 1 bedroom units). The only negative that I've found in the units themselves - or, more specifically, the floorplans - are the bathrooms being on the 3rd floor (or 1st and 3rd in the three bedroom units). There's no bathroom on the second floor where the kitchen and living room is located, which can be a bit of an inconvience as I'm sure you can imagine.

As somebody else mentioned before, the insulation isn't the best, so your electric bill does tend to run a bit high in the winter. There's also no A/C, so it does get a little warm in the summer since the living quarters are on the 2nd and 3rd floors. However, in the 1 bedroom unit, you have 2 sliding glass doors right up front which provide a nice breeze. In the 2 and 3 bedroom units (and the bedroom itself in the 1 bedroom), there are windows that make it very easy to slide a window A/C unit in. There are plenty of trees as well (it IS Oregon, after-all) which do provide some shade and refuge from the heat.

New appliances, track lights in the dining room, washer & dryer in unit, roomy bathrooms and direct access garages are only a few of the perks. The management has been nothing but pleasant, always quick to take care of any problems or complaints you may have.

Parking is a problem if you have a lot of visitors (there's a total of maybe 10 spaces that are shared by 5 buildings), but otherwise, the garage & driveway generally provide enough parking for you. The floors are quite creaky, though being that you're on top of your own unit, it's not much of a problem... USUALLY. It may only be the units in the building I reside in, but sometimes the creaking floors can become an annoyance when you're trying to fall asleep and can hear your insomniac neighbors walking around their bedroom. Also, if your neighbors have lead feet or children, the noise caused by stomping up and down the stairs can become quite the annoyance as well. My neighbors have a young son that likes to slam doors and stomp up and down the stairs, as well as make noise outside of our unit - throwing rocks and whatever else he may do to amuse himself. I blame that more on the parents than the complex, though.
