Absolutely horrible

Where to start'
1. They water the lawns constantly. You can't let your kids on it during the summer because it's always sopping wet. Mold grows on the sidewalks from all the watering even though it hasn't rained in months.
2. Currently the place is undergoing HEAVY construction. Apparently these apts. which are only 5 years old are suffering from mold/rot and structural problems (that speaks volumes for the quality of the workmanship).
3. During said construction they ripped the siding off all the buildings. In my daughters room they also ripped the window out halfway and then left it. I was quite shocked to find it hanging out of the wall a good 5 inches. I had to screw it to the wall myself and am still waiting for a proper repair job 3 weeks later. Not holding my breath though.
4. The economic downturn has affected them hard I would guess. They have taken to renting out apts. to less than desirable characters. Their ads claim "high quality luxury living" but adjectives don't make the apt. I had to call the cops last night on our new neighbors (wasn't the first time). I will also be calling the apt. manager to voice my disgust but she never takes or returns calls. I can't prove it, but I sense a big case of apathy with the management here.
In short - run. The Verandas are just like every other apt. complex up and down Cornell: built fast and shoddily to appeal to the growing Intel factory, poorly constructed, and poorly managed.
