The "Golden apartment years!!" I miss living here!! I remember when these apartments were built back in 1996. I was living and working in downtown Portland at the time so it wouldn't have made any sense for me to move out to Tanasbourne. In 2003 I obtained a new job in that area only 3 minutes drive from the Verandas. YES! I finally had a reason to move there:)- It was 2003 and the apartments still looked like new. I got a great deal for only $525 on a 1 bedroom layout located on the 3rd floor. The wonderful thing about this apartment was that I only had one neighbor to my right and obviously, no neighbors above me. Being totally stoked and excited as I was; I bought all new furniture and my apartment looked like a model unit. The apartment was extremely clean and I never heard my neighbors!! The Verandas has concrete between the floors and thick insulation. The grounds were always so beautifully landscaped. I never had to deal with the office much. I always paid my rent on time and nothing ever broke. My only complaint was that in the end I had to choose to either renew my lease for 1 year at same price or, go month to month for like $800'' Big difference! My company decided to lease office space over near Lloyd Center so I would not be able to commit to living there a full year. So I moved :( - I always reminisce about this apartment when my current loud idiot neighbors bang around upstairs or I walk by the trash littering my downtown location. (I will write another review for my current apartment) Overall, I had a wonderful experience living at the Verandas. It is now close to all the great shopping in the area. Would love to live there again!

The landscaping is still beautiful and well kept, and the maintenance crew is awesome but everything else has gone south. Must have been nice to live here back then.
