Awful Experiences

I moved to Thorncroft 1.5 years ago. The leasing staff lied to me about having a car wash, upon moving in they said, oh someone stole the hose. Come to find out, there never was a hose. Things were ok for the first year, very quiet, mostly corporate types doing temporary stints at high tech co's in the area. After the new mall went in across the street there has been an influx of young, loud, trashy, low income partiers. I have been woken up at 2 in the morning on multiple occassions to the sounds of beer bottles smashing, and people hollering. I did report it to management, but the problems continue from various tenants.
The first year, grounds were well maintained. Now the halls are consistently littered with beer bottles, trash, and cigarette butts.
I requested a garage, was put on the wait list, then received a call that one was available. The next day I returned the call only to hear "we rented it yesterday". This is an issue, as there is a huge shortage of parking spots.
Yesterday was the final straw! I hopped out of the shower, heard a knock on the door, and saw the maintenance man. I didnt have a maintenance call scheduled until the next day, so I assumed they would call if they needed to change the time and that he would leave since I didnt answer. No sooner did I have time to wrap a towel around myself and he stuck the key in the door, I screamed this is a bad time, you are scheduled for tomorrow. I was absolutely livid, this was the ultimate invasion on my privacy. I immediately called the leasing office, tried about 6 times throughout the day yet no one answered. At 5 pm, I walked in to speak with someone, and was completely ignored by the agent there who refused to acknowledge me. At this point, I am going to take it up with an Attorney and or/moving out, regardless of having to pay 1,300 to break the lease. I've rented with Trammell Crow in the past, (River Place Square) and they were wonderful. This has been a complete dissapointment as they units inside are beautiful but poor management has made this a most unpleasant experience to say the least. It's diffucule to put a price on peace of mind.

If you don't want them coming into your apartment, don't give them permission to enter! It's that simple.

Thanks for your review. I went to ThornCraft this afternoon and thought it was a nice apartment. Maintenance is the mainest part when I consider a community. I hate careless staff.

I've lived here since July and have had no problems with noise whatsoever. I have had no issues with maintenance either. When something breaks, they come to fix it. You don't schedule them to come in, you call in the problem, and they come as soon as they can based on severity...
