They pull you in with the 2 months of free rent and the $1000 gift card "to use towards rent" which are their exact words. And then, you find out you can't use the gift cards for rent and the management tells you it's "not their problem." Seriously, what am I going to use an AMEX card for besides groceries... I don't even eat that much!
You can never find anyone helpful in the office - the turnover makes it hard to pin down one person and use them as grounds to stand on. You mention the name of the person you spoke with last week (who was somewhat helpful) and they tell you they're no longer with the company; therefore, suggesting that your claims are now invalid. This has happened to me at least 5 times.
Oh - and beware the maintenance men, they look in your windows! Good thing I wasn't naked in my own bedroom! God forbid!
All in all, I like the apartment, which was newly renovated, but my downstairs neighbors have about 50 kids and they smoke weed and cigarettes... which comes through my air vents and smells up my bedroom!
I haven't even lived in the apartment for about 4 months, it's just sitting there empty while I pay for it... ridiculous right'
Oh - and the management doesn't want to help me with the lease at all... I even brought them someone to add on to the lease and be responsible for it... but they still need me to pay about $5000 to have my name removed.
I'm really contemplating just not paying rent next month and seeing what happens, that's how fed up I am!
