I've lived here for 2 and a half years. When I moved in, my apartment was in good condition, not run down by ANY means. Some of the other reviews make it sound like OJP was the ghetto of Lake O, but that is certainly not the case. Now the new management is instigating a bunch of "remodeling" but charging astronomical rent. It's sad for many reasons, but particularly for the older people who have lived here for 15 years or more and will now be forced to move out because the new owners are raising the prices and will no longer honor their predecessors' arrangement with these tenants. The staff is incompetent and useless. The management is charging for things that we were never charged for before, which in itself will increase tenant's costs by upwards of $100. In addition, if you move into a "remodeled unit" it will cost an additional $200 a month. That is ridiculous. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone with the current management.
