BUY a CONDO INSTEAD...

Parking after about 5pm has been unavailable near my apartment since they started charging for covered spots. People still ignore the rules and park in my spot and the staff is never there to take care of it. Why should I even pay for a spot' I dread paying for water, sewage and garbage when my lease is up; on top of the couple hundred dollar rent increase i will incur for renovations.
They NEED to update the windows and insulation. They need to block the gaping holes in the crawl spaces under the apartments. My heating bill in the winter has been upwards of $150 a month and growing despite my efforts to insulate the windows.
The new appliances are nice, but all they added was in the kitchen. The bathroom fixtures, baseboard heating, and water heater all need to be upgraded. The building's basic structure can also be questionable. I feel like my upstairs neighbors will come crashing through the cealing any minute now.
The staff is a mixed bag and after you've signed the lease you are lucky if you get the same friendly and inviting attitude you got when you first visited. They often leave open pages of notes taped to your door as the prime form of communication. The maintenance staff is knoweldgable and efficient, but sometimes rude.
Despite their efforts in rennovation, which I have been extremely patient about, I feel the benefits do not outweigh the costs.
In other words:
I will not be renewing my lease and will be refering any potential residents elsewhere.
