I have lived at OJP for about a year now. Over all this complex isn t that bad. The apartments are nice and the property is generally quiet. Most of the residents are friendly and a pleasure to talk to. Recently OJP let a group from a security company (Pinical) rent out a bunch of the apartments. If you can, avoid being around these loud and rude kids. Their snide comments and disruptive behavior can be a bit annoying. The grounds are nice although with the complex's dog policy, i believe dog waste bags should be provided at every single green space to give people no excuse to clean up after their pets. Lake Oswego is a very safe community and One Jefferson is no different. Even at 3am you can feel safe walking about the property. My biggest and only real concern is the management. Although they are friendly, they will come up with a half ass excuse for whatever problem you are having. They take responsibility for nothing and have no problem pawning off your problem or completely ignoring it all together. Here are a few examples. One day my neighbor and I came home to find that OJP had entered everyone s apartment to paint the doors. The problem was that they did not give legal notice that they were going to enter anyone s apartment. They just did it. This is ILLEGAL but when confronted by my neighbor, he was told that they should have notified us and then he was brushed out the door with no further explanation. Don t even bother asking why the fitness center took 9 months (opposed to the promised 2 months) to renovate. Their excuse: "The construction crew is a bunch of Mexican s, what do you expect." This, of course, is an uncalled for and very unprofesional responce. Other then the management crew, this apartment complex is fantastic just pray you never need anything from management because you wont get it without a fight.
