I am still trying to recover from the negative consequences of living at this complex.

First of all, the issue with the alarm system has been addressed and is in the process of being fixed. You wouldnt know that because you probably dont live in my building where the repairs are taking place. If you actually asked the managers about it then you might have a better idea what you are writing about. Honestly, parkridge isnt a bad place to live. I have been here a year so far and I love the location and my apartment enough to not let the managers effect my living. There may be issues with maintenance on occasion but we are all human. I have older aluminum windows in my studio too and they do build up condensation and a lack of cleaning will create mildew. There are much worse problems in the world to be complaining about petty stuff.
Keep things in perspective!

I too had horrible mildew around my aluminum windows. I wiped them down every day, and still it was there. This is NOT a minor problem, as some of us have allergies to mold and this is extremely problematic to us. They charged me $70 for carpet cleaning when I moved out, even though I never wore shoes in the apartment and it was clean, except for what their workmen tracked in because they refused to wear booties over their shoes or remove them. AND they probably put new carpet in because it was old when I moved in over 3 years previous. Their maintenance personnel are unprofessional and inept. They tried to get into the apartment when I was out in order to clean the dryer vent and fireplace and they didn't have the right key in the office. The maintenance man didn't bother to report it to the office though, which I found out when I accidently locked my key in my vehicle. They had to make a copy of MY key after I called AAA so that they would have one in the office!

I have lived in several apartment complexes in Lake Oswego and Portland since I left Parkridge Apartments in 11/08. All the other management companies I've leased from were reasonable and had qualified maintenance staff for comparable accommodations and prices. Before and since, I've never rented from an apartment complex as poorly managed as Parkridge Apartments. Absolutely the worst!
