I lived there for 8 years and in 3 different apartment. I started out on their efficiency studio. They're right about the energy efficiency, but you'll never get any sleep because those little dorm style rooms are sandwiched between two living rooms.
Then I moved to a 1 bedroom bottom floor, got flooded out 3 times from drains getting clogged and the upstairs units draining right into my apartment.
Next I moved into a 3rd floor 2 bedroom, it had warn carpet and hadn't been updated in years. I was OK with that but when I moved out they charged me $2000 for damages. Things that were normal ware after 5 years of living in a place. They charged me for replacing the carpet which had to be replaced anyway, as well as paint, which also had to be done anyway. Among other things. Rent went up on average of $35 per year, consistently every year that I was there.

I think the bottom line is that renters have to take pictures upon move-in and date them, and provide a copy to management. Send everything Certified Mail/Return Receipt regarding move-out notices, etc, as another tenant said the office "lost" his notice to move and charged him $1,000.
