Alderwood is the worst place to live in. When I put the Unit on hold they said that they were painting it and shampooing the carpets--as every apartment is suppose to by the Law. However, the day I moved in the walls wernt painted the carpets wernt shampood; plus the place reaked like the worst dog piss and ----!. I had to shampoo the whole place my self.
Over the months toxic Mold covered the bathrooms and the bedroom. When you sleep you smell the worst crap-- a mix of previous dog piss along with the Mold, which was almost a centameter thick all over the walls. O ya and all over my clothes. I told managment that i was getting sick and to kindly get rid of it. They said no prob and that the cleaner/painter would be there some time that week. 5 months later they showed up after I contacted a lawyer and my Doctor who stated that I was getting sick due to the Mold.
Neighbors-- The Neighbors are the worst trash. They play their base on full blast shaking the walls and making you go crazy for hours even until 4 am. Calling the police 4 times and telling the manager didnt stop them because managment dont give a crap. They say they will have a little chit-chat, but thats all lies. O ya and when you try to sleep your woken up by your neighbors shitting, peeing, and having extreamly loud sex. Not nice if you have kids. Living at alderwood was the worst hell ever the hills suck and every one parks in your sopt even though they dont live there. Yes I agree the units are kinda big for what you pay for, but not worth the pain and suffering. If you value sleep and your health do not live in Alderwood--worst junk ever paid for. I didnt feel living safe living there, as there is to much crime. Dont think since alderwood is located in lake oswego that its crime free. if you go on line and look at this link you will see what im talking about:

This seems an attempt to match "Pearl Living" in the opposite direction. Alderwood wasn't the greatest, but had its good points. Neighbors were not the most upscale, but were nice for the most part. Management was more or less friendly if not responsive. They seemed more clueless than uncaring. The ice storm we experienced was a nightmare. Most cars couldn't leave the premises for several days, and my wife lost her job because of this. No attempt ever was made to bring in a snow plow until it was too late. As for spiders, which disgusted one resident, I don't have a problem with spiders. They spun lovely webs and were harmless to humans. I'd rather have spiders, than some yahoo going around every week spraying toxic chemicals which destroy all life forms indiscriminately. Alderwood was not a picnic but the apartments were spacious and nicely designed architecturally. Unfortunately the buildings inside and out looked like they hadn't been maintained for thirty years. Carpets, paint, windows, screens, cabinets, et. al. looked like Salvation Army rejects; but the price was right. We got what we paid for in many respects, and we liked the space and the woodsy feeling even though we were in a huge apartment complex. The nightmare was born came when the merciless national giant Trinity Property Management took over. Cosmetically, the physical environment "improved" but the emotional-psychological environment became far worse than it had been. See my review for details.
